As you all know, Microsoft presented at its recent event what will be the company's new flagship OS, Windows 10 promises a lot of things for a lot of people, but will it really be up to the task?
At Actualidad Gadget we are curious geeks, and since the Technical Preview is now available and we are part of Windows Insider, we have thrown ourselves into trying it to tell you what we are facing.
First of all I would like to highlight the good behavior that this TP (build 9926) is having, and is that It is stable and fluid in every sense (removing the occasional bug that we obviously found), but that does not mean that it is almost finished, precisely if it is going so well it must be because it is missing many features.
Project Spartan is missing, it seems Internet Explorer does not die, but it will have a grandson who is not available for now and both browsers will coexist in the same OS (it is something strange, since having a new browser, why keep the old one that people hate so much? It will be to keep the laughs going)

For lack of lack Cortana too, but it is not that it is not available, but that not available if your language is Spanish, leaving a search box that has the occasional bug, but nothing important and definitely something useful since you have a local and web search engine all in one at your disposal in the taskbar.
But let's talk well about this previous version, the reason why it works well is obvious as soon as you use it a little, and that is that it is basically Windows 8, but it is not Windows 8 as we know it, It is Windows 8 as it should have been.
Right now The operation is very similar to Windows 8, except for details such as the possibility of having multiple desktops or the tablet mode (which makes everything go full screen for greater control of the system), and the user interface, which has been redesigned, getting rid of that start in Metro that we hated so much and putting on a nice desk with a new dress.

Programs often believe they are running under Windows 8, although that is good since the interface is consistent and at least they let you use them, for now neither iTunes nor any other program has given me problems (sometimes Google Chrome, but it is fixed by clearing the cache and so on).
I have even tried to use a game (which you see in the screenshot) and the result has been more or less normal, it worked the same as in Windows 7, however from time to time the screen would go black for 1 second, something that does not happen in Windows 7 was passing.
Taking all that away, I can use Windows 10 as if it were my main OS without problems and that taking into account that the hardware on which it is being executed is not cutting edge (a Dell OptiPlex 755 Ultra Small From Factor)…
One thing that bothers me a lot is that Now everything works with "apps", Wi-Fi for example, in Windows 7 a list was displayed above the taskbar with the available networks, in Windows 8 a list was displayed on the right side of the screen, now the Settings "app" opens and It shows you the available networks and internet settings.

This makes the process that should be a blink of an eye, something punctual, becomes something more tedious and requires waiting for the app to open and then managing everything there.
Of course, it must be admitted that some applications are appreciated (such as Health, the News reader, games, etc...)

Apart from the aesthetics, there is not much more news to mention, as they update it and include things like Spartan we will keep you informed of the latest news.
Finally, I leave you a small video with a small sample of Windows 10, so you know what it's about (sorry for the lack of audio):
