Perhaps many people do not require the tricks that we are going to mention at this moment if they have contracted the services of Netflix because with this, they can easily find a movie within their services, choose the language to listen to as well as, the one we want to read as subtitles.
Unfortunately, this is not common to all people, as there are still some of us who have decided to stay away from this service and try to use certain movies downloaded from the web and hosted on the hard drive, to enjoy them in our moments of leisure and entertainment. Now, if that is the scenario in which we find ourselves, we may be upset if the subtitles incorporated into the movie are out of date by too long a period of time. That is the reason for this article, because now we will present two alternatives that you can use to sync these subtitles to your movie, which can represent a short or long procedure depending on what you choose to do.
Short procedure to sync subtitles with movies on Windows
SubtitlesSynch is the name of an interesting tool that we can use for this objective; The interface has a minimalist appearance, which means that under no pretext could we find any type of problems in its execution and even less so in the use we give it. We must go to the link on the official website to download this tool.

At the top we have placed a screenshot that shows the interface of this tool; As can be seen, each of the elements present there are very easy to handle, same as They should not involve any type of problems in their execution. Thus, SubtitlesSynch will help us:
- Choose the total time of our movie.
- Define an initial time period before the subtitle letters begin to appear.
- Add or decrease time when subtitle letters appear.
- Perform a selective synchronization in a specific time period.
We could highlight many more benefits when using this tool; The user only has to use the button that is located at the bottom and that will help us to import the file with the subtitles, which must have a .sub or .srt format; If we need to redefine only a specific section of the subtitles we can choose the last feature that we mentioned in the previous paragraph. From there, we will only have to use the button that says "synchronize" so that the process starts immediately. There may be a small problem when using this alternative, since here we do not have a preview of what we could be obtaining when performing this synchronization.
Long procedure to sync subtitles with movies on Windows
If the method we suggested above does not offer you good results then you have this other alternative; It is supported by a tool called Easy Subtitles Synchronizer, which can also be used for free like the previous option. The difference lies in the large number of options and features displayed in its work interface.

At the top we have placed their respective screenshot, where you can already admire a more complete and complex interface than what we analyzed previously. The user only has to import to the movie and later to the corresponding subtitle, being able to have a "preview" of what is happening at the moment before synchronization. If everything is correct, we should not do anything at all, although if we can notice that there is a gap (lipsing failure) between the subtitles and what the characters are talking about, then we can apply the synchronization at this very moment. Now, if there are only certain regions where there is a "subtitle gap", we could edit those that have a small error using the lines shown at the bottom of the interface. This procedure can be considered "long" if there are a large number of lines to edit or modify.
