A while ago, the developer Macphun.com, LLC launched the Snapheal application, which is currently available in the App Store and is already in version 2.5.
It is a photo editor for OSX with which you can make different adjustments to your images, in addition to being able to eliminate unwanted objects from photographs.
It is an application for Mac, which does not eliminate the details that we indicate and then modify the surrounding pixels to hide the errors. What you do is make an impressive interpretation of the data that hypothetically should exist in that portion of the photograph so that what has been removed is not noticeable. The gesture we have to do to be able to eliminate those small details from our photographs simply consists of painting a mask over what we want to eliminate and clicking "DELETE". By magic, the application, with the presets you have entered, will eliminate those details, leaving the photograph as if they had never been there. It also lets you make other types of adjustments at the photo editor level.
When this application was published in the Mac Apple Store, it took time to start seeing comments like the following:
“When I found out about Snapheal, I thought it was just another very basic retouching application, but after trying it my expectations in managing and retouching photos improved.”
“Thank you for the application, I am a photographer and I will make intensive use of it”
What we intend with this post is to make a REVIEW to which a STEP BY STEP TUTORIAL in which you can be very clear about what it is and how to use it. Furthermore, we inform you that This application is currently being given away which costs 8,99 euros in the Mac App Store. To do this you must enter the page that we leave you at "Download" and complete the steps requested.
Let's start with the REVIEW so you can learn about the changes between the normal version and the PRO, and then show you some examples.
Snapheal PRO, It is an “improved” version which you will be able to get for free or in the Mac App Store. It is a version that is updated by introducing improvements that will help the retouching of our photographs become child's play as well as a serious and well-developed job. The PRO version is a new, much more powerful application that, logically, has been published in version 1.0.
As soon as we start the application, we are welcomed with a home screen that informs us about the version of the application we are using and in which we begin our photographic project by dragging an image to the upper area indicated with “Drag image here” or browsing through the Finder if we click on “Upload/import image” in the lower area.

Let's see what the upper control bar of the application offers us. As we can see, until we open an image we will not be able to use this bar.
When we click on “Show Changes”, what the application does is show us the photograph WITHOUT the changes made, and when we stop clicking it shows us the same thing but with the changes. In the case of “Show both images”, the application makes a change in the layout of the screen and shows us the two photographs, one next to the other. Finally, when we click on “Cropping Tools”, a lower bar appears with all the options we can make.

We finish the upper bar, stopping to comment on the three options it offers us, DELETE, RETOUCH and ADJUST. By clicking on each of them, a specific menu appears that makes a large number of options available to us when carrying out these actions.

As you may have seen, it is a very intuitive and easy-to-use application, which with a little practice will allow us to retouch our photographs very quickly.
