PSMenu is an interesting application that we could be running from our computer and even from a USB pendrive when it comes to have custom applications in a new Options Menu; The tool is compatible with both Windows 7 and Windows 8, being a great help and alternative for the latter operating system, if you are not happy with what is offered by Microsoft.
Once you have gone to the PSMenu download link, you will have to install the tool itself; according to the developer, the same can be run from a USB pendrive Although, the first step after downloading suggests to the user that they must install certain files in a specific location for subsequent execution.
Downloading and installing PSMenu on Windows
Well, you can download PSMenu from its official link as we mentioned before; Once you double click on the downloaded file you will find a screen very similar to the following:

After accepting the license terms offered by its developer, a new screen will appear where you must define the place where all the tool files will be installed. By default it suggests a folder for PSMenu within the installation path (C: if you have not changed to it using the method suggested above).

If you click on the button that says Browser… You will have the opportunity to choose a location different from the one recommended by the author, something that It could be our USB flash drive; As you may notice, it is also suggested to perform a normal installation on the hard drive (in which case it would no longer be a portable application) or a version of the same tool on your USB pendrive, which we will do at this time.

A new window will appear, where we are asked if we want to create an AutoRun file on the USB pendrive; This means that every time you insert the accessory into the port, PSMenu will automatically be executed, otherwise you will have to explore to the place where you installed the tool to double-click it.

Once we have executed this tool (PSMenu), the work of configuration of the applications that we want to run with the same. Previously we must mention that a shortcut icon will be located in the Task Tray, which you can access to change its configuration or customize it with more tools whenever we want.
Returning to the PSMenu interface itself, you will only have to click with the right mouse button on an empty space in its interface (below «Start Menu«) to start adding applications, edit the list that you have integrated and even delete those that you are no longer going to use.

If we have decided to configure a New Application in PSMenu, then we must provide the necessary information in the new window that appears, which suggests:
- Enter the name of the tool.
- Search for the executable or the directory where said tool is located.
- Provide the necessary parameters for its execution (such as with Administrator privileges).
- Make the configured tool run with Windows.
- Customize the icon of said application in the list.
The rest of the configurations are easier to be programmed, the most important part really being the items that we have mentioned above. Before extract to USB pendrive, you can use the right mouse button on the icon located in the Task Tray to choose the option that says Close All Applications.
