Surely you have already used that image that was initially placed as wallpaper on the Windows 7 desktop for a long time; What would you think of having to personalize this environment with your own images, it being necessary for this only that the photographs that you are going to use in this new wallpaper are located in one place.
Although there are third-party applications that can help us place a magnificent and exceptional wallpaper on Windows 7, generally these options do not provide anything really interesting in the long run; What can be motivating for us is the personalization of this desktop with images that are displayed as if they were a slide made in PowerPoint.
Selecting images for wallpaper in Windows 7
As we had slightly suggested in the previous paragraph, in order to make use of this feature we must first place all those images that we are going to use as wallpaper, in a single directory or folder. This is because the user will have to choose one or more of these images, it being easier to do so from a single location and not from different environments (folders).
After having carried out this operation, we can now go to some clean space on the screen. Windows 7 (in his desk); There we will only have to click with the right button of our mouse, choosing from the context menu the option «Customize now«.
A window will immediately open where the user can access choose from several themes proposed by Microsoft; Since our task will be to prepare a new animated wallpaper (as a slide), then we must go to the bottom of the screen, where we will find the option «desktop wallpaper» (Desktop Background).
A new window will open, where we will find meaning to what we proposed previously; in the section that says "image location» we will only have to click on the « buttonto examine«. This option will allow us to search the directory where we stored all the images previously; We can choose one or more images depending on our taste and preference, although in the latter case, we could use the « keyshift» if the images are contiguous, although if they are separated, using the «ctrl» key will be the most appropriate.
Towards the bottom of the photographs that we have chosen we will find 2 additional options when it comes to personalizing our desktop in Windows 7:
- The position of the photograph. Here we can choose between filling, mosaics, expanding among a few other functions.
- Slide timing. We will have the possibility to choose the time for each image to be displayed on the screen in order to make way for the next one.
Now we just have to save the changes to return to the previous screen. In the same place where we choose the option to customize the desktop, we will see that an option appears, which says "presentation» (slide Show).
With these steps that we have mentioned, now we will have our Windows 7 with a personalized desktop, having only required a good number of images for them to form part of a very attractive slideshow as wallpaper.
An additional action that we could perform is to navigate to a specific directory, where there may be a few other images that we want to integrate into this presentation of our desktop. Windows 7.
There we will only have to select a few images and then, with the right button of our mouse, choose the option that says «set as wallpaper«.
If we could go back to the place where we initially chose the photographs that were part of this slides on the desktop of Windows 7, we will observe that the latter that we have added appear as a new theme (unsaved) to be part of the wallpaper or desktop in Windows 7.
