Using the quick capture buttons
In Windows 11, you can take a quick screenshot using a key combination. To take a screenshot of the entire screen, you simply have to press the button Print Screen on your keyboard. This will copy an image of the entire screen to your clipboard that you can paste into any image editor or even into an email or document.
If you want to take a specific screenshot of an open window, you can press Alt + Print Screen. This will take a screenshot of the foreground window and copy it to your clipboard.
Built-in screen capture tools
In addition to the quick capture buttons, Windows 11 also brings with it some built-in tools to take screenshots.
One of these tools is the functionality of Cut and Sketch. To access it, you can press Windows + Shift + S. This will open a bar at the top of the screen that will allow you to choose between several capture options, which are:

Once you select the type of crop you want, you can select the area you want to capture. The screenshot will be copied to the clipboard so you can paste it into an image editor.
Using the Xbox Game Bar app
Windows 11 also comes with built-in screenshot functionality within Xbox game bar. This is especially useful for gamers who want to capture moments from their games. You can open Xbox Game Bar by pressing Windows + G. From there, you can take a screenshot by pressing the capture button in the Xbox Game Bar toolbar.
Editing your screenshots
After you have taken a screenshot in Windows 11, you may need to do some editions in her. Fortunately, there are a number of tools available to help you do just that.
You can open the image in the Windows 11 Photos app and use the editing feature provided there. This allows you to crop the image, adjust lighting and color, add effects and much more.
