SI'm sure you know that files with a .pdf extension are files that can be opened with the program Acrobat Reader. The reason for this is because it was Adobe Systems who created this document format.
LThe acronym "pdf" that makes up the extension comes from "portable document format" which means «portable document format». This format receives this name because Adobe's original idea was that it was possible to create a document that could later be shared and viewed on any computer without compatibility problems.
DSince Adobe launched the “pdf” format in 1992, this type of document has only grown and grown with the help of the Internet, becoming a universally used format.
A Throughout this time, the program that views the "pdf" files, Acrobat Reader, currently renamed Adobe Reader, has been increasing its capacity when viewing these files by adding new functionalities. This increase in features has been accompanied by an increase in the program's loading time, so that the process of opening a PDF file became increasingly slower. If the file in question is also hosted on a web page and we open it with the browser, the process can take forever, sometimes blocking the browser and forcing us to close it.
LMost people, I say 90% of ordinary people, only use Acrobat Reader to read PDF documents, and we have to wait for it to load all its functions and then just read the document. That's why I decided to look for another program that would allow me to open files with a "pdf" extension that was faster than Acrobat Reader.
BWell, the entire previous paragraph is to tell you that I currently use Foxit Reader. It is, in my opinion, a fantastic program that allows you to view PDF files with amazing speed.
EThe program takes up very little space (1,67 megabytes) and consumes very few resources, it is free, It comes in English but it is very easy to put into Spanish., and although the program is called Foxit Reader, you can find it on some other website such as Foxit PDF Reader, it is the same program, they just wanted to emphasize the extension it uses.
LInstallation of Foxit PDF Reader is very simple:
1º) The first thing as always is to download the program. Download the latest version, which is currently 2.0.1606. You can download it from Softonic or visit the official website of the program.
2º) When you have downloaded it, click twice on the program icon and in the windows that appear, click on:
Remember that in the "I agree" step you are accepting the license to use Foxit Reader. This is a mandatory step in practically all programs today, if you do not agree with the license click on "I don't agree" and the program will not be installed.
3º) Finally, click on "Finish" and the program will open automatically. Now you must translate Foxit Reader into Spanish, for that click on “Language” and in the list that opens click on “Spanish”. The program will automatically switch to Spanish.
BWell from now on you will no longer have to have a coffee waiting for a PDF to open on a web page. I hope this little installation tutorial has been helpful to you. I don't think a manual is necessary for the Foxit Reader, but if anyone has a problem with any of its functions, let me know. The fundamental thing, which is to install it and put the program in Spanish, has already been explained. Sour greetings.
