messages from unknown senders in iOS 8.3
When we had previously mentioned the news proposed by Google about its application for YouTube on old mobile devices, many may have thought that this was simply an unfair restriction since a large number of models would be practically unable to use it to view the videos. videos in their respective interface.
The possibility of updating the operating system on compatible mobile devices is a great advantage and help, which would not only be focused on giving priority to the installation of mobile YouTube but rather on a few other aids from which we could be benefiting; For example, if we talk specifically about mobile devices such as the iPhone and iPad, Right now there is version iOS 8.3, where in addition to being able to install this new version of YouTube for mobile devices, notifications from unknown senders could also be deactivated in the "Messages" application.

What's new about Messages in iOS 8.3

What we have mentioned in the previous paragraph is one of the needs that a large number of people have, because at a certain moment Maybe we will start to receive a lot of messages from people we don't know and which can be classified as "unknown senders" because they are not added to our lists. Of course, this situation could be relative, since perhaps we have not yet added a new contact and they could be considered this type of senders. What we will mention below is the new feature that Apple has implemented in its most recent version for mobile devices (iPhone or iPad) and specifically, for its "Messages" application.
01 Unknown senders in iOS 8.3
At the top we have placed a screenshot that can serve as a guide for what we will explain below; To get to it you just have to go to the "Home Screen" and look for the "Settings" icon; once you touch said tool you will have to look on the left side for this “Messages” option; Theoretically there is no type of change, although if you pay special attention and remember that it was previously shown in the previous version, you will notice that towards the bottom of the right area it has increased to an additional option, which is that what does it say:

Filter unknown senders

This option is generally disabled, all you have to do is touch the small selector on the right side of it. With this, since it will be activated and configured by default and therefore, You will not receive any type of notifications from people you do not know. But that's not all, since this feature comes with something else.

New tab in the Messages app in iOS 8.3

What we mentioned above is actually just a small trick to activate this feature, and we can go to the "Messages" application to find out how it works; To do this, we only have to press the "Home" button on our mobile device to go to the "Home Screen."
You can find the "Messages" application in the lower band (the one with the green icon). You would only have to touch said button (application) so you can enter it.
02 Unknown senders in iOS 8.3
If you managed to activate the switch that we recommended above, then in the "Messages" application you will be able to notice the presence of two different tabs, which are:

  • Contacts and SMS
  • Unknown senders

Actually, each of these tabs acts as a kind of filter; This means that in the first tab (contacts and SMS) you will be able to see all those messages that come from your contacts and friends, that is, those that you have added to the list. In the next tab (unknown senders), however, there will be messages that come from contacts that you do not know. Best of all, messages from the latter will not show you any type of notification, so they will go practically unnoticed. This could be a disadvantage, because if someone who is your friend and you do not have him added to the lists writes to you, then his message could go to said area if the feature is activated.
