Nor ask me how they do it but for a while now I have received quite a few queries about how to change the language of Hotmail from Chinese to Spanish or from Arabic, Japanese either "???" to Spanish. Put "???" Because if you configure Hotmail with a language for which the computer does not have the necessary characters to represent its alphabet, what you will see on the screen will be words represented with question marks "?".
HSome time ago I already explained how to change Hotmail from English to Spanish and the process to make the change is the same, whatever the language of Hotmail, with the exception of languages like Arabic, which presents the text from right to left. But you will see that it is not a problem either, you will just have to change your orientation when making the changes.
BWell, I'm a machine with languages and I master several of them, like Chinese (chao chochi= divorce), the alemán (get on-push-squeeze-get off = bus) or the Italian (but I don't have a car, lady = cappuccino) I am going to explain to you how to change the language of your Hotmail regardless of the language in which you have it right now.
1º) Once you have opened your hotmail account The first thing we have to do is discover if the language in which your email is located follows the normal distribution of the text, from left to right, or if, on the contrary, the text is distributed from right to left. The best way to know is to look at the "Windows Live" logo.
If the logo is on the right, your email is configured with a language that reverses the presentation direction of the text, such as Arabic (اللغة العربية). Nothing happens, all you have to do is follow this tutorial following the instructions that I will give for the "Arabic style."
2º) Now that we know the type of writing we have to locate the button "options", which we can locate by having an icon that represents a pencil writing on a sheet with a bent corner.
The "options" button will normally appear on the right of your screen, or on the left if it is in Arabic or similar. Also you can take as reference the round blue icon with a question mark that always appears next to the options button.
3º) Now two things can happen depending on the version of Hotmail you are using. If you use the full version of Hotmail After clicking on "options" a drop-down window like the following will open in which you will have to click on the option that appears at the bottom (which in Spanish would be "More options").
If you use the basic version of Hotmail Simply go to the next point, since after clicking on the "options" button you will go directly to the configuration window.
4º) One way or another you will have the following window before you in which you will have to choose the option "Select language". To know which of all the lines that appear on the screen is the "select language" option, you must follow these steps.
Notice that at the top “Windows Live Hotmail” always appears in a recognizable way, regardless of the language it is in. Then you will find groups of options, the group that interests us is the third since there you will always find in its second line the option «Select language».
Let's see another example, in another language, so you can see where to find the “Select language” option:
As you can see, despite everything being in Arabic, you still see "Windows Live Hotmail" and the three blocks appear, although this time I have not highlighted them. The option "Select language" appears on the second line of the third block. Click on it and everything is almost done.
5º) Now you will have before you the screen where you can choose the language you want.
Check the box corresponding to the language you choose and click on "Save". Please note that the "Save" button will change location depending on whether the text has a normal distribution or an "Arabic type" distribution. A trick To know which of the two buttons that appear is the "Save" button, it consists of Click on the button that is closest to the list of languages. We have already seen above what it would be in a normal case, let's see an example in Arabic.
Y ready you have your Hotmail in the language you have selected. I hope this tutorial has been clear enough, but if you have questions, comment them. Sour greetings.
